A New name for the new standard
14th March, 2008
Training Quality Standard (TQS) has been agreed by Government as the name for the new standard for employer responsiveness. An official announcement will be made at a launch event to be held in London in May, where a logo and branding will be revealed. Once providers have achieved the standard (part A) they may also achieve ?excellence? status in one or more sector specific area (part B). Following the May event all documentation entitled New Standard will be reissued using the new name and branding and the website will be updated to reflect these developments. Providers that have already successfully achieved the standard will have their certification start date amended to the date of the event. Other developments include a change in terminology from ?accreditation? to ?certification? and an invitation to tender for organisations to become certification bodies. Interested parties are invited to register their interest by completing a pre qualification questionnaire which can be found on the LSC?s e-tendering system "https://lsc.bravosolution.com/web/login.shtml."
