The event below, funded by the LSC will be coordinated by the Regional WBL Network Coordinator (NE). There are 25 places available and it is suggested that Operational Managers or practitioners attend the event to assist them practically in the application and evidence requirements of the standards. Places will be allocated on a strictly first come first served basis and places are restricted to one per provider. Priority for this event will be providers in Area North however, providers in Area South who missed the event held there in January may book a place and I will hold a small number of places available for this purpose.

IAG Workshop for Work Based Learning Providers (Area North - Tyne and Wear and Northumberland)

Participants will be introduced to the Quality Standards for Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) (launched by DCSF in October 2007 - effective from April 2008) and provided with guidance for the implementation in their organisations

Objectives:

· To understand the twelve Quality Standards for IAG and User Guide document

· To audit current provision and plan developments to enable the organisation to comply with the standards

· To explore self-assessment and provision of evidence to support the standards

· To consider collaborative approaches to IAG with partners
