Solution Focused Therapy is just one example of the new approaches that have taken off over the last 20 years. These approaches share common elements:
• Establishing rapport/meeting the person
• Identifying client resources
• Defining a preferred future/outcome
• Find out what is already working
• Measuring progress (with 0-10 scales)
• Offering constructive feedback
• Offering suggestions
• Highlighting change
On this practical, one day course delegates will be introduced to techniques they can use to support clients within a Connexions/IAG context. Additional ways to build confidence, motivate and inspire people will also be covered. The course will be fun, participative and without role play.
